"Dodging" in Unifest'09

15th January 2009 - While Unifest'09 created an awesome concert that rocked us students, it was also known as Club's Day during the daytime. Devils' Duke, wholeheartedly, took part in the event as well by setting up booth and hourly demonstrations to promote Dodgeball game.

To plan, it took the committee four hours to came with the conclusion of what to do for the Club's Day. Or put it this way. In fact, the three out of four hours were used on deciding the name of games, charges for games, and who should be the dodgers of the day. From discussion to forums to debates, committee almost turned the meeting to a market because everybody fought for the best way out for the sake of Devil's Duke. It was as though bombs and saucers were flying in the air. Havoc. Eventually, it was decided...

The game was named after President Evon Chong(a.k.a. Bobo) because committee thinks she deserves to get hit.

An alternate game for fun, in case people are not interested with Dodgeball. Nice drawings?

Thanks to the "Fantastic-Four Ahs". Bra stands for Bryan.

Here's a reward whether you win or lose. Thank you for playing!

One, Two, Dodgeball!

It's about aiming, hitting and of course, dodging a ball!

This is a game which doesn't need rackets, nets, or high budget maintenance playing equipments.

Yes, just you and a ball to dodge it all! Too easy to understand? Watch video below.

Because it is such an easy game, UCSI has officially set up a Dodgeball club nine months ago. The baby club is named Devils' Duke as it means ruler that roars. As a leader of this Devils 'Duke, President Evon Chong formed this club with less than twenty members and just like any other clubs, ninety percent of them were soon known as dead members. However, the remaining members were supportive enough to attend every training session.

Everyone was new, nobody really knew where to begin. So, the democratic team taught each other during practices. They thought of ways to enrich the club. They worked out the best strategy in the court. They play like a team and live like a family.

In the end of Year 2008, Devils' Duke entered the Campus Dodgeball'08. Here's one of the glorious moments back then. Enjoy.
